Change Plan!

Hey Guys, I know it's been a while since anyone posted on this blog, but my change plan (as you will find out tonight after Hebrews), is centered around going out and really living Bloody Tiger. So in the interest of really getting after that, I'd like to post about my successes and failures here. Talk about critical moments, and what vital behavior I used to get through them. If nothing else, I'll have them for posterity.

A new week and lots of opportunties!

After a very busy friday (and having dinner twice) I'm starting to see what it would look like to give this thing my all. It's exciting to think that I'm never going to have to ask my self "what do I do now" but at the same time, its very scary. Best thing I can do is make a plan. I've got lunch planned out for tomorrow. Let's see if I can't fill out the week. I know what I'm doing tonight, same thing. It will be interesting to see if I can't pack my schedule with meaningful productive stuff as far out as I can.

Thinking about it now my evenings are all already full up! Just need to make sure I don't have dinner alone.

Scheduling as a path to achieving Goals! What a new idea... : P

Long Obedience in the Same Direction

It's follow-up week...

I've made a good number of connections at this point, I plan on keeping after it for a little while, at least 2-3 more meals at Gracie's or Commons to meet folks. The tough part starts now, inviting, pulling, pushing, prodding, testing... building a relationship and seeing what the next point of decision is. Planning lunch with a few different people, hoping that I haven't missed that crucial window when people aren't defined by their clubs yet.

First day of Bloody Tiger.

Did the Gracie's thing this morning with Drew, sat with two guys. Conversation stayed pretty "safe" (computers, games, tech) for the most part with a few steps into a frustrating Catholic school experience, and some family stories. Leading questions got some good responses, but the serious conversation attention span seemed pretty short. It became pretty clear that they weren't looking for a church in the area, exchanged facebook info, and went on our way.

Then met with a guy from my high school and a Gal Pal of his (relationship?). Much better "response," and immediate questions about where I find religious services after I asked to pray. Seems like he may want to come to mens group, and she may be interested in women's group, Friday will be a great opportunity to make some connections for both of them. We may see him tuesday night, or even this sunday. Very clear window of opportunity before clubs and activities take up a bunch of his time. 

Off to class now, looks like I may have to take an early ride home (car is still in the shop) but I'll be in for the duration tomorrow once I've got wheels again. (8 am class though... yuck)
